Scientists “prove” Adam and Eve — kinda
Scientist recently studied mitochondrial DNA to determine ancestry at a large scale level. Their objective was to determine lineage across today’s major racial groups. They took 147 individuals from these groups and analyzed the DNA to determine their parentage. The results are quite astounding.
… the geneticists concluded that every person on Earth right now can trace his or her lineage back to a single common female ancestor who lived around 200,000 years ago.
The scientists were quick to point out that this one female, whom they dubbed “mitochondrial Eve” isn’t the “mother of all” as it is very likely that there were many before her. If this “mitochondrial Eve” is what religion calls Eve, this latter point of course goes against traditional creationism as does the time-line. But in today’s world of serious scientific pressures on religious tradition, there are many who believe that Adam and Eve were not necessarily the first humanoid creations of God, but rather the first to have “the breath of life” breathed into them. They were the first to have a spirit or soul. Prior to Adam, humanoids were merely animals. And of course that time is all relative when it comes to God’s time-line.

So what do you think? Have scientist now proven that Eve actually existed?
